Robert C. Rubio

Robert Rubio passed away January 5, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loved ones in Fort Davis at the age of 78 years. He was born on June 7, 1943, to Crispin and Librada Rubio in Falfurrias, Texas. He loved to watch his grandchildren play football. He crafted knives and was a great artist. The Dallas Cowboys was his team. He enjoyed nature and fishing. His favorite place to be was Stone Village Market and love cruising around town. He loved his grandchildren with all his heart and life. He was a member of the Gate Way Wisdom Church here in Fort Davis, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Lupe Rubio; children, Stephanie Rubio, Jeremiah and wife Ginger Rubio, Melanie Rubio, Michael Rubio; grandchildren, Allison Rubio and Ryan Jurado, Blake Rubio, Levi Rubio, Mikiah Rubio, Olivia Rubio, Breanna Rubio, Aaron Rubio; siblings, Josie Rubio and Freddie Rubio.

He was preceded in death by his, mother and father; son, Robert J. Rubio; sisters, Sara Reyna and Janie Garcia.


Visitation will be on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 5p.m. to 7p.m. at Davis Mountain Funeral Hall. His service will be Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 1pm at the Davis Mountain Funeral Hall in Fort Davis Texas, burial will follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery in Fort Davis.
