Pamela Salcido left this life peacefully on June 17, 2023. She was born October 2, 1952 to Charles Ratty and Erma Grace Greenway in San Diego, California. She moved to Fort Davis, Texas a town she loved and called a little bit of Heaven. She met and married the love of her life in Fort Davis and had 30 years of blissful happiness. She loved people, fishing, hunting, her flower garden, and especially her dogs. She was a strong and brave person who believed in God and with that strength she fought a lengthy illness. Her motto was: “Es loque es. (It is what it is) I will follow the Lord’s will.” She was a devoted wife and blessing to those who met her.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Salcido of Fort Davis; son, Shawn Gould; stepdaughter, Hilary Petree; sisters, Kim Allen and Cheryl Lo Dolce; and three brothers.
She was preceded in death by parents; an Infant son, Jason Gould; her beloved granddaughter Katelynn Gould, and her loving sister, Bambi Manning.
Per Pamela’s request there will be a short graveside service at a later date. She also requested that special thanks be given to the West Texas Gift of Hope in Odessa, Texas, Texas oncology in Odessa and Big Bend Memorial Hospital, Father Alfonso Sanchez and everyone that helped her make it to the Lord’s kingdom in peace.
