John C. Conners

   John Charles Conners was born on October 22, 1933 in Rio Grande City, TX and passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022. John was a loving husband to Maria Flora Conners for 64 years and they share three children, Mary Francis Gonzales, John Kennedy Conners and Charles Lee Conners. By his children he lives on through 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

John moved to Marfa with his parents and family at a young age where he attended the Blackwell School. John is preceded in death by his father, John Francis Conners; mother, Francis P. Millan Conners; four brothers, Mike, Ernest, Eddie, James, and his sister Francis "Sissy" Garcia. John is survived by his brother, Lawrence "Larry" Conners; sister, Dorothy Conners along with various nieces and nephews.

After school, John enlisted in the United States Army where he served in Okinawa Japan.

The funeral services will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church followed by burial at the Merced Cemetery at 9 AM on Saturday, June 25, 2022.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Conners, Adam Gonzales, Brady Salmon, Camden Lujan, Jerram Rojo, and Samuel Ramirez. Honorary Pallbearers are Donny and Jesse Garcia.
